Side shot Sunday

The problem for next while is all the abrasive and sand they dumped on the roads over the winter.
The more snow, the more they dump.
Up where I live, it’s going to be a while, several rains and DOT passing broom on hill and bottom intersection before I can get out with any hope of keeping car decently clean. ☹️
 
Ha, you’ll be fine on the TCH or arterial highways. No worries.

I have to pay a price for privacy.
I have no neighbours but to get that, I live on some rural back roads.
Chip seal instead of pavement.
They can’t salt chip seal because the salt breaks down the surface.
So they lay the sand, tiny gravel abrasive to it instead.
A lot of snow = a lot of sand.

Since sand does not dissolve in rain like salt, it takes several rains and continuous traffic to get it swept off to a decent degree.

DOT sends a skid steer sweeper to sweep intersections and hills where they lay it on even thicker than elsewhere.
Now that we’re starting to see rain instead of snow, we should see him anytime now.

And I live on top of a hill with an intersection at bottom, so I’m not even thinking about getting out until they sweep and get a couple good rains after.
 
I did RJ driver services out of Fredericton they have a full sized semi and haul all over Canada. It is fully equipped to haul 8 cars with a drive on lift. The best thing it’s $1200 door to door. Not sure if I could have hauled it with my F250 that cheap if you included my time?. Once work is complete 5 full days, I’ll fly up and drive it home
