The Good Old Days

As much as you can wish for the old days, the golden age of the muscle car is right now.

Who would have guessed you could get a 526 hp GT350 with the suspension, handling and safety that you get today, right off the showroom floor ???

Not to mention reliability.

The number of high horsepower factory offerings is unreal, across all domestic manufacturers.

The old school has it's place, without it, we wouldn't be here now, but bias ply tires, drum brakes and carbs don't hold a candle to what we have today.

But I'm still adding that 1966 Hertz GT350 to my bucket/Lotto 6/49 list.

good ole days
cheap cars
cheap gas
cheap beer
cheap smokes
free water
paid for porn.
less people and stupid people got no warning learned fast
2 genders
you fucked it up, it was your problem, and you had to solve

Now a days

Expensive cars, gas, beer, smokes,
oay for water
free porn

faster cars, but don't look as cool.
cell phones, some days great, some days could throw in a lake.
far more people, which menas far more stupid people oh this is con, not pro.
to many genders
now everything is someone elses fault and everyone wants Gov to fix everything
nobody has learned, more taxes, don't fix nothing

Oh wow, far to much, will post more later, but good start.

I miss the days when I would come home Friday night from construction work in my crappy truck knowing the engine was shot. Two of us would spend Saturday hauling it out in the barn then Sunday dropping in another I got for $100 at a scrap yard hoping to hell it was ready and working for the Monday morning drive back to work again.
